Anti-aging medicine can also be acheived naturally through food, water, vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modifications, and exercise. But we’ve all tried this vitamin, that juice, this supplement, or that concoction, and nothing seems to change, and after spending a substantial amount of money on health products, gym memberships, and maybe even personal trainers, how do we know if it’s working or if we even need what were taking (vitamins, supplements)?
A good, sound anti-aging program is one that emphasises natural anti-aging, from the inside out. Sure! Indulge with the Botox but are you really hitting all aspects of anti-aging? The answer is no. While we do offer aesthetic medicine such as Botox, we encourage our patients to undergo a complete anti-aging program.
What vitamins should you take? Should you just go to any store and start throwing down vitamins and supplements? This is insane! The answer is no. So how do you know what to take, and when, and for how long?
The answer to these questions is simple - it depends on what you’re deficient in? An astute doctor will use a laboratory anaylsis to determine what a patient may be deficienet in. A medical staff member will draw blood, obtain a urine specimen, and swab for a salvia sample, then send these bodily fluids to a lab for a baseline assessment. Based on the results, if there are any deficiencies, the doctor will then prescribe a course of nutrients to the patient to bring the deficiencies to normal levels.
An adequate program then repeats blood, urine, saliva labs every 3 months until the deficiencies are corrected. It does not make any sense to arbitrarily take any vitamin or supplement without first knowing if you need it or not. Let’s face it, when you think of blood work or a urinalysis, you think of your family doctor. You think “sick” or “ill-health”, right? It’s time to change your thinking. Since you are now thinking about anti-aging, then you should be thinking “wellness.” Blood labs and UA’s are not just for the sick - they are also for the healthy who wish to be healthier and for those who desire to establish a true anti-aging program. This would make at great legitimate work at home jobs.
